Maria (or Mania) is ISP Group’s Senior Legal and Compliance Counsel, bringing extensive cross-border legal and regulatory experience gained across Switzerland, Germany, and Greece.
At ISP, she advises the Group across compliance, regulatory and sanction-related matters affecting its activities. Before joining ISP, Maria held the role of Manager, Financial Services & Regulatory at KPMG, advising financial intermediaries on Swiss regulatory compliance; served as external Legal & Compliance Officer at Bank Hapoalim in Zurich; and contributed to a major compliance remediation program at Credit Suisse.
Mania began her legal career with traineeships at law firms in Berlin, before building over a decade of experience in private practice in Athens, advising and representing international clients on a broad range of commercial, corporate and intellectual property disputes.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Law from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, including an exchange at Karl-Franzens University of Graz, and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Humboldt University in Berlin. She is admitted to the Athens Bar Association and is fluent in English, German and Greek, with conversational French.
