ISP is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial leader to take ownership of its Digital Assets business. The Head of Digital Assets will define the strategic direction, drive commercial growth and oversee the development and delivery of client-focused solutions across custody, trading and tokenization. 

The role spans the full business lifecycle—from market strategy, product development and client acquisition to implementation, governance and ongoing service delivery. It requires the ability to translate market, regulatory and technology developments into commercially relevant, scalable and compliant custody, trading and tokenization solutions. 

Your responsibilities:

• Act as ISP’s central subject-matter expert for Digital Assets, supporting the different business teams in developing and expanding their digital asset activities. 
• Drive business development and originate new opportunities, including generating client leads, identifying new markets and use cases, and developing strategic partnerships together with the respective business teams. 
• Continuously enhance the Digital Assets operating model, ensuring clear responsibilities, efficient processes, appropriate controls, automation and technology integration across the relevant business and support functions. 
• Support the development and implementation of new Digital Assets products and services, from initial opportunity and client discussions through structuring and implementation. 
• Drive and coordinate tokenization initiatives, supporting client scoping, solution design and execution in close collaboration with the relevant business and support functions. 
• Monitor market, technology and regulatory developments in Digital Assets, assess their impact and identify opportunities for ISP. 
• Represent ISP externally in selected client meetings, industry events, conferences and strategic partnerships, strengthening ISP’s positioning and network in the Digital Assets ecosystem. 

 
Your profile:

• Significant professional experience in digital assets, capital markets, financial services, fintech or a closely related field, including experience in a senior or business-building role. 
• Deep understanding of digital asset markets and infrastructure, including custody, trading, blockchain networks, tokenization and the evolving regulatory landscape. 
• Proven ability to develop business opportunities, build client relationships and translate market needs into commercially viable solutions. 
• Experience in a regulated financial environment; familiarity with the Swiss financial market and FINMA-regulated activities is a strong advantage. 
• Strong strategic, analytical and commercial judgment, combined with a hands-on approach to execution. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving business, technology, operations, legal, compliance and risk stakeholders. 
• Confidence in engaging with senior clients, partners and internal decision-makers. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely. 
• High degree of autonomy, ownership, integrity and reliability. 
• Fluency in English; German or another Swiss national language is an advantage.

You will be joining a small but highly productive IT Team consisting of four professionals covering the full-service range for our local as well as satellite offices across Europe, Middle East & Asia. The position is newly created to develop in-house software applications, to improve business process automation, reduce risks, and create new business opportunities that support our strategic growth objectives.

The place of work for this position is Zurich, and you will work closely alongside various business stakeholders, operations teams, product specialists, and IT colleagues to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across ISP Group. We prefer on-site presence throughout for this position. 
 
Your primary responsibilities will include: 
 
Application Development  

• Design, develop, test, and maintain internal business applications 
• Build solutions that support ISP's core business processes including:   
• Product onboarding  
• Product lifecycle management  
• Trade processing  
• Payments processing  
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and secure software solutions  
• Ensure all solutions meet agreed business requirements and quality standards 

API & Integration Development  

• Design and develop APIs and integration services 
• Integrate internal applications with third-party platforms and service providers 
• Maintain and support existing integrations across business and technology platforms  
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and straight through processing  

Product Engineering  

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technology solutions.  
• Participate in solution architecture discussions.  
• Deliver new features and enhancements to existing applications.  
• Support the organization's growth initiatives through technology innovation.  

Application Support & Operations  

• Provide third-line support for internally developed applications.  
• Troubleshoot production incidents and resolve application defects.  
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.  
• Ensure applications remain reliable and secure.  

 Security & Compliance  

• Apply secure development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.  
• Ensure solutions comply with ISP policies and regulatory requirements.  
• Support audit, risk, and compliance activities where required.  
• Maintain appropriate logging, monitoring, and auditability within applications.  

 Documentation & Knowledge Management  

• Create and maintain technical documentation.  
• Document solution designs, architectures, and support procedures.  
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the IT team.  
• Support business users through training and knowledge transfer activities.  

 
We are looking for candidates fitting below requirements:  

• Financial services experience  
• 3+ years in Python backend development with some exposure to frontend  
• Has worked with SQL with some exposure to Postgres Databases  
• Docker and Containerization  
• Microsoft Azure (Function Apps, App Service, Blob Storage, Key Containers, IAM, Managed Identities)  
• Iaas and Paas solutions  

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have): 

• Wealth management or asset management experience.  
• Securities, structured products, or fund administration knowledge.  
• Exposure to regulatory environments  
• Integration of third-party financial platforms and services.  
• Has worked with AI enterprise solutions

A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, CI/CD, APIs, databases, and cloud-native technologies is essential, along with experience delivering production-grade solutions.
